Me, I'm attempting to teach myself how to color manga pages. [Since I can't even do a redrawing or clean manga, this is fun, let me tell you.]

So last night I spent FIVE HOURS on this. Maybe one day I'll get a graphic tablet and my life won't suck so much.

Until then, I'm getting by on my laptop.

With my little touchpad.

Well, it definitely helps pass the time! Next thing I knew it was 3 am. >_>

But it was fun, learning the basics and such. Found a few tutorials and played around a bit.

yo should ask willow for tips, she's one hell of a color artist, but good job with your first one darling^^

this has really good skin tips if you follow it right (it took me 7 tries to get it right XD)
the highlight concept is the same except for angular faces like your girl will be much more narrow lines that'll follow her features. For example there should be shading under the hair on her forhead that gets darker as you get closer to the ear. Even if you mess up it'll still look pretty no one ever notices trust me!

Now these are really good hair tutorials they all feature the roots,base,highlights concept which is sometimes super hard to obtain on curlier hair but it's totally worth any effort you put in cuz it just pops and everyone's like how did you do that?! but it's really easy! and it'll make your already amazing coloring pop with 3-D like IMAX!

if i've gone through all of my bookmarks in my bookmark toolbar (consisting of things like FML, damnyouautocorrect, vgcats/other webcomics, cuteoverload, cake wrecks, etcc), am up to date in any manga i feel like reading, have no more books to read, and can't call my bf do due time zone constrictions, then i put on music and dream up shit ^^~
i get some pretty intense bored day dreams, so i've got this intense little fantasy world going on in my head x)
