Hello, I would like to be of service for you and offer my time to help with preoof reading and editing.
Curently I have 10 hours a week that can be used to proof read and/ or edit.

I already have an understanding of photoshop editing software
I am a native English speaker and have a good understanding of grammer.

Unfortunatly I can not translate from raw.

Currently comming to the end of 142 psyren.

I see that you're trying to apply for the proofreader position. Thanks for the application! However, we have 3 others who have sent their applications and are just waiting for itamaesan's (the Quality Checker head's) approval. It might be that 1 makes it, it might be that none do.

Regarding previous statements on new proofreaders, most likely only 1 more will be chosen as a potential proofreader trainee (2? - probably not). Therefore, itamaesan or I will reply to your application once she makes a decision on the others.

Hello there all, nice to see all the comments.

I have no idea what TSing is but im willing to learn or have it explained.

with regards to Translation I am not fluent in any writen language other than English.

I would like to have TSing explained and if its within my skill level or if i can learn to do it then I would be more than happy to give my time for the comunity.

well typesetting is putting the words in those annoying white bubbles with different fonts and sizes and stuff like that , that are usually not hard , but sometimes are sure hell of a time consuming depending on how many pages you have to do
You said you have experience with photoshop , so i guess no problem on that part for you.
Sometimes typesetting requires putting text outside of the bubbles like for title's and such , normally we put the english text over the japanese and re-draw around it to make it more likeble to the public , luckly our translator for psyren is pretty great and has managed to give us a headstart on that part too.You might notice that he used "text:","title:" , that normally indicates it.

Just a bit of hint , the normal font we use is called "wildwords" , so unless you have some really strange bubbles(which indicates that the manner of speaking is different than casual talking in the manga universe) we normally just adjust it for shouting(bolded+italic text with big letters if the bubble allows it),for thoughts we use gray color for the text and such diviations.

and down here is the translation of the chapter , it is quite easy thanks to the translator to know where to put the text , just use your imagination for the fonts part

So from what I can understand your basicly giving me the raw image (after cleaning)
I use the script and replace the bubble language with the scripted language.

using the correct font, size and colours.

if this is right then to be honest it should be easy for me to help the comunity.

its late for me righ now so I will do this task for you in the day time and re- rar the finnished results and reupload them to a hosting site. and post link here.

I would just ask if a clear list of ations could be supplyed sometime.

normal speach = standard foent type + font colour? + font size?
thoughts = font type? + font colour + font size?
narations = font type? + font colour + font size?
ect, ect

Sorry if this seems like im asking alot but if i get the pattern i can always stick to it and keep consistancy.

For normal talk, Wild Words (black) should do.
Thoughts should be Wild Words (italic) (grey: color 5d5d5d).

For shouts and etc, use your imagination! The color will always be black for those.

Good day to you all.

the task has been compleated and I hope it is to the standard expected.

2 edits were made to the origanal script as my edits are more grammaticly correct.

I have also added a small section of text colour change to match the FX that was taking place. the origanal script asked for cracked font but colour fx fits the story line better.

lastly I think the only issue I had with the task is with regards to the text
such as can be seen on the top left of page 2-3

Not bad for a first try. Here are my comments:

*The font size you used is way too big. The text should occupy only 50%/70% of the bubble total space.
*You shouldn't resize the text while hitting the CTRL button. That deformates the text. The only "styles" the text should have are only the font's ones (regular-bold-italic). I say this 'cuz in some bubbles the text is a little jagged.
*While TSing over JP text that doesn't have a bubble (like the "protect your friends..." text), you should TS over the JP text with a white stroke. The rest of the JP text that wasn't covered by the font will be redrawed afterwards, so don't worry.
*You should play with the fonts. Wild Words is the most used one, but for shouts you could use, dunno, "Yikes!"; for telephatic chat you could use "CC Astro City" (they are all silly examples, but you get my point Razz

). Use your imagination!

That's pretty much what I could see. Just re-do three pages following these tips here (so you don't have to stress yourself doing lots of pages again just for a test). Then post 'em here and we will review them again! ^^

the following is not me being defensive but just explaining why I did it in the way explained.

reason, sorry thought you wanted the text as big as possible.

same reason as above, and np, ill use fixed font size and not resize via ctrl + T

not sure what you mean by a white stroke, bull ill search up on it, the rest I understand.

When it comes to fonts i'm not good at origanal thinking but now you have supply the names of 2 fonts and they shall be used.
