Well, I don't think anyone will mind if you switch to TSing, but what program are you going to use for TSing that you can't use for cleaning? I would TS and clean with Photoshop, so if you already have Photoshop for TSing all you need is a couple plug-ins for cleaning.

That's cool. I don't think anyone here will be able to help you if you run into technical issues with GIMP though.

GIMP 2 is just like PS CS3!!! nut now I have to get it to work...

However, we won't be able to give you feedback if you use that (I mean, we could, but we wouldn't be able to tell you directly how to fix it). Plus, we also don't know if the Topaz Denoise and Topaz Clean plugins will work with it (as far as I know, they are only for PS).

Well, I truthfully couldn't tell when topaz was in PS. I might have my paws on a computer with PS by tomorrow night if all goes well.

All is not going well with the CPU...

Fortunately, I am getting an i Pad with PS on it.

How will I know what Topaz looks like and how will I access it?

i had the hardest time with this when i first got it XD
so i'll just tell you straight out XD

assuming you've followed all the installation steps given with the download...
-in PS change the mode to RGB
-under filters you should see 'Topaz Labs' near the bottom
-Topaz Denoise should be there somewhere XD

I did not use any topaz with that.

You need a program like Tclean to even out your grays. or it wont matter how everything else you looks. As far as i can see everything is fine but your greys. the eybrows were over burned but thats to be expected since your not denoising

Nope sorry and just go to the help section all the tools are there so. In this one the greys are as good as you can get them without Tclean as a cleaner you prob have all the skills needed to be a mem but you just dont have the tools. I know its tough to get them on linux based system like Fedora. The only way to solve it is to get windows or mac. Even though ubuntu is my main os i still have xp on my system. If you can you should think of have two Os's on you system as i do. If not your just wasting your time. Either that or find a denoiser and cleaning software that will run in gimp from what i understand all photoshop plugins work in gimp, but thats if plugins them selves can run on linux (which i doubt since photoshop is only for windows and mac). Hope you can find a method that will work for you.

So thats my advice find plugins that work like TDenoise and Tclean. ill help you do some research if you like since i also have a linux based os on this pc.

Well, both Topaz Denoise and Topaz Clean are a must in the speedscan business. Those pages of yours are pretty much as good as they get without using filters (and without doing them in HQ, but since this is not HQ it doesn't come to case).

So my advice is that you go and download them (as far as I know, Topaz products work on Linux, but maybe I am talking bullshit). Otherwise you won't be able to clean anything correctly (again, unless you went and learnt HQ; but trust me, you DON'T want to learn HQ).
