my wild guess is luffy has agreed to become a shichibukai.

no way , luffy doesnt need anything that comes with that title , more like he made a big mess with some marine base or something , while ray is teaching him how to control his haki , so when he returns to shabaondy , the admirals or pacifista wont kick his ass like last time

and it seems like buggy will receive a shichibukai invitation , if the WG still needs them ; and he made quite a nice crew too

Maybe rayleigh told luffy to become shichibukai so that he and his crew can gather safely.Remember, he said he has a plan for luffy and his crew and his plan may include this theory of mine, xD!

well it is , but i dont think sengoku or gorusei would ever thought of offering such a thing to luffy , and he already declared war to the WG , and fought against them in the war , and with th e recent loss of several shichibukai's i dont thing navy hq will be making such a dangerous move for getting another one aka luffy and i dont think his crew is gonna like it anyway or luffy himself + kizaru and akainu pretty much wanna kill him too

and i really think that rayleigh was talking about that his haki is lacking control

actually i wouldnt be surprised at all if luffy and ray-san have went to mariejoa and freed all tenryuubito's slaves , that would be cool

My take on Luffy's message is: I'm ok, still alive, and I'm going to train to become stronger. You guys can too if you want. When it's time to meet up I'll give you the signal.

Or something like that. XD

Yeah that's the general idea I got as well. I tried to look back at the chapters for clues for what he could've potentially said and what messages he left but I can't come up with anything solid.

So many people out there who looked at all the little details and managed to concoct crazy possibilities. Do you have any take on the tattoo luffy got? Got to love Oda and his ability to screw with our heads. XD

I hope they meet up at 600 as well. And IF you want to look at his tattoo again and try to make it out, people have pointed out to me that it couldn't possibly be aces tattoo @_@
They think it's some message to his crew saying:

People think the crossed out 3D means the old plan to meet up after three days after their boat got coated has been cancelled and instead meet up after two years... which is too too long for me personally. I don't think Oda would resort to time jumps, that's a Naruto thing.
