| Ok, so this manga ended in 2007, but no one has made a thread about it, surprisingly. This was a very interesting manga, the anime was just as interesting, maybe more so due to the extra story they put into it. Needless to say, this turned out to be one of my top 10 mangas. It was a super crazy ending, definitely a very good psychological manga. What does everyone think of it? Also, do you have any others that compare to this? |

| While I recognise that School Days was the first anime I have ever saw (nice introduction to the anime world huh? ">.> I am surprised I stayed after that blow), I completely hated it! I mean, Makoto was such a prick, he man-slutted every female character he crossed paths with, and totally deserved the end he faced!
I was so damn frustrated with the serie (I mean, I wanted to watch a nice and romantic shoujo, like Toradora! [serie I discovered and finished just recently], but noooooooooo! it had to have a disgusting piece of shit as the main character) that I had to check if there was like "an alternative ending", and that is how I came across the School Days manga (which happened to be my first manga ever too). While I admit that the manga was better than the anime (at least Makoto wasn't a fucker - in fact, he was quite a decent guy; Sekai was the one at fault there lol), it still left some.... "biterness" in my pour soul D:
Long story short: I love School Days as my first serie, the one that intruduced me to the awesome world of manga and anime; but I also hate it with all my soul :3 |

| Maybe you should play the visual novel, Kiba. That way you could choose your own ending. |

| Well, this would be great motivation to learn Japanese, Kiba. Then you could be our translator. |

| I heard that School Days was one of these worst anime. I remember that last year curiosity got the best of me and I watched the last episode -- wow. That was brutal. e_e I don't really like School Days... |

| The uncut version of the ending kinda reminds me of higurashi... the ending kinda sucked cause it not a happy ending... but there's no thrill to it if the ending is happy... right? |

| I don't know about happy endings... Somehow all the heart wrenching stories stick to your mind better than the happy ones (Especially with books, I loved a series then the protagonist had to DIE!!! I was like NOOOOOOOOOO. Still loves the protagonist. T^T )
But I like happy endings too, I guess what makes a series great may be the unexpected plot twists... But that might just be my personal opinion. |

| Hopefully "Good Ending" ends with the kind of twist "School Days" had. Mainly just for the pure irony of the title.
I actually almost half expect that! |

| I haven't touched the School Days manga but after a long hiatus of not watching anime(about 3 years) this was the second series that I watched, Higurashi being the first.
I wasn't surprised by the ending, the rest of the series left me cringing though.
The stupidity of the MC made me want to face smash my desk.
In short, I disliked School Days because of the MC and because I had recently watched an anime of high caliber.

I completely understand how you feel bro. This was my reaction: 1- Poor Makoto, he can't get Kotonoha's attention. 2- Mmm, watch out Makoto. You are heading the wrong way there. 3- Hey, now stop, seriously. It ain't funny man. 4- What the fuck are you doing Makoto? 5- WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING MAKOTO? ARE YOU INSANE? 6- OH MY GOOOD MAKOTO YOU SICK MOTHERFUCKER! I HOPE YOU FRY YOUR ASS IN HELL!!!!!!!
