but this is what I have gotten done so far, I know its not 100% perfect so hit me with your best insults, I will attempt to work on one of the practice pages with SFX and one of the split pages Thursday or later tommarow night.

The size is alright on the first page for most of the bubble. The text should always place in a diamond shape tho... You should always try to follow the shape of the bubble and leave some simitrical space between the bubble and the text. Same problem with the second page, but the text's size is too big about everywhere... All in all good first try, keep it up, we'll try to do some cloning when you get the hang of that^^~!
