These are the Mare Rings, from the Millefiore family in Katekyo Hitman Reborn! The basic concept from KHR! is that this little child assassin named Reborn comes to Japan to find Sawada Tsunayoshi (he's this lame 14 year old boy - really unpopular, kinda stupid, etc.) and tell him that he will be the next boss of the Vongola Mafia family in Italy. And then Reborn stays to train Tsuna into being the 10th boss (he's commonly called Vongola Decimo or 10th) and he gathers guardians from among the friends/acquaintances he makes along the way.

The purpose of the guardians are to literally guard the Boss, even though he's supposed to be the strongest among them. They each have a ring related to elements of the Sky: Cloud, Sun, Rain, Mist, Lightening, Storm, with the Boss holding the Sky ring, which rules them all. Along the way they run into opposing families with rings that hold opposing abilities, such as the Millefiore family (whom they encounter 10 years in the future - don't ask, I won't shut up about it) and THEY hold the Mare rings, which actually have the same abilities as the Vongola ones - really hard to beat! XD

Ok, I talk too much - basically, go read the freaking manga, it's amazing and you won't regret it. :Db

So yeah, Kiba should post this in his first post or something. XD Also, this mentions nothing about the Shimon family, but they're the current opposing mafia family that Vongola is fighting.
