haha didn't read the first one, cause i have seen that one yet (recognize the name, but not that far in the arc yet xP)
but the second one, something similar ish happened, or was implied, just didn't have the gore.
if it didn't, then i guess i just had an intuition about it cause thats what i thought had happened anyways XDXD

honestly i would go to the manga, i do plan on doing so, but i love the music from the anime, and the japanese voices seem to make it complete.
and with good series, action scenes are more epic in the anime cause you actually see them played out, and theres no need to fill it in yourself =P

Yeah, that's the only thing good about the anime xD It's not the same imaging the X-Burner's blast than seeing it with your own eyes

I also agree with the epic music part.
