Hello! I would like to apply to be a cleaner....

I'm Neko and I would like to join ms and be a cleaner! I haven't cleaned before but I scored over 100% on the dark king perv test!
I believe this means I have potential...I wouldn't mind learning tsetting either and i'd proofread if needed...... I've already downloaded cs3, tclean, and tdenoise so i'm ready to go!!!!!

I can speak, and read spanish really well and can write it pretty well....if that helps

And we would love to help you con tribute. Im Dk lol. Ill be looking over the cleaning portion of your test. Im glad you are also interested in type setting. I sugest that you read these tutorials to familiarize your self with the steps needed to become a cleaner

These are the raws that you you will clean from for the cleaning portion of your test.
Extract them from winrar to a folder on your desktop and open them in Photoshop and follow those tutorials i posted.

Loki or itameasan will help you with your typesetting sometime later. but for now we will work on your cleaning. as it is the harder to learn of the two. ^_^

Hi there neko, I will be reviewing your app ^^

Well then, your pages weren't cropped properly (and, particulary speaking about the Psyren page, it wasn't rotated); and they are all underleveled (black's wise - I mean, you leveled your whites correctly, but you could have also leveled up your blacks way more ). Also, you didn't resize your pages, which is mucho important (remember to ALWAYS resize your pages to 1300 px. high). And finally, you also forgot to burn up your blacks (see how they are all dusty, we don't want that).

Don't let this discourage you, though Just re-do the pages taking into account what I have just said. This app was in fact pretty good for a first try (I mean, when I first got into cleaning, mine was way worse xD).

as for your new pages, you're posting them in chunks, right? (the link goes to 3 pages) i never thought to do that o.o very clever XD

maybe kiba or someone will comment on the high t-clean values and he sharpness..? don't take my advice on anything XD i'm a beginner too ^^

ok everything is good, except the fact that you use the "cartooned" settings of tclean.

next time use the "Degrunge" settings instead then tweak the values a bit if what you thought would look good. just keep an eye on the grays, don't smoothed it out and preserve the pattern instead.

P.S. don't use the "cartoon" settings again cause it's ruining the lineart and the grays are being smoothed out. good luck on your redo~ \0/

Don't flip your pages. Ever. I don't know who told you that but they don't know what they're talking about.

You didn't crop properly on the Psyren and HnS pages. Notice the black bars at the top and bottom of the pages? Those need to get cropped off. The OP page looks fine.

Leveling and burning seem good. You missed a few bits of dust in the blacks, but it's not the end of the world.

Your T.Clean settings are way too high though. You smoothed out the pattern. We don't do that here. Try again. We use T.Clean to make our pattern more uniform (getting rid of dust and color differences) but we still try and preserve the pattern.

I would say try again and really focus on getting correct T.Clean values.
